The Algerian Organizing Committee appointed by the Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital reform is responsible for the organization of all local arrangements for the Conference of Algiers.

The Organizing Committee has initiated a process to produce a logo. The logo should reflect the role of research in the production and application of knowledge as well as the African and Algerian contexts in which the conference will take place.

The Local Organizing Committee will provide the Steering Committee with regular reports on the organization of the meeting, and will respond in a timely manner to all requests for information.

According to the general needs, four sub-committees have been set up. They are to co-ordinate all the measures taken at the local level for the conference and report them to the Local Organizing Committee. Each sub-committee will have its terms of reference with a detailed list of tasks and responsibilities. These four sub-committees are defined as follows:

a. Communication Sub-Committee

b. Housing, transport & Catering Sub-Committee

c. Security and Accreditation Sub-Committee

d. Scientific Sub-Committee
